Fashion & Costumes with Debbie Baer

Halloween Looks!

In this workshop we’ll learn mending, savvy thrifting, repurposing, fit adjustments, basic sewing skills (sew a button, stitch a hem, thread a machine).

Debbie was a costume designer for 15 years. During that time she dressed dancers, opera singers, clowns and a Grammy-nominated kid’s pop band. In 2016 she founded The Willary, a clothing company that outfitted do-it-all women with do-it-all clothes. She took a break from the business this year, and her recent sabbatical from the rag trade has rekindled her love of actually making things. Debbie is also an amateur potter and has performed onstage at Second City Chicago as a very amateur improviser.
